Team Thrive Careers Hub Climbs Snowdonia Mountain

Posted on 24th June 2021

Welcome to the Thrive News Section where you can keep up to date with the latest information including events, good news, support services and all things Thrive. What a way to commence with our first post about the teams journey up Snowdonia last week!

We decided it was only right to kickstart our fundraising efforts as a team and being the brave bunch we are, we came up with the idea to climb Snowdonia Mountain in Wales (admittedly some of us more willing than others).

And we’re off. . .

The morning started promptly at 10am and you can tell by the smile on Dan and Kerry’s face that they were enthusiastic about the day ahead.

Great skies for a great cause.

The weather was glorious so we stopped for many selfies, sandwiches and snacks! Director Sara showed up as a well-prepared climber with her bar of Kendal Mint Cake.

Snow-done!

A huge well done to team Thrive for reaching the Snowdon Summit. The journey up and down took 5 hours and what we first described as a charity walk turned out to be a charity hike!

The day ended at 4.30pm just in time to enjoy a well-deserved pint, followed by two days of rest.

We set out to raise £500 to directly support Liverpool City Region’s young people who attend Thrive. We smashed our target with a final total of £1,070, a huge thank you to all those who donated!

As an independent non-profit organisation, support from fundraisers go a long way in helping Thrive provide vital support to the most vulnerable young people across Liverpool City Region.

We are welcome to any future fundraising ideas any if anybody would like to partner with Thrive as a fundraising partner, please email info@thrive-cic.co.uk
