HAPPY HOLIDAYS
We close our lovely hub doors on Wednesday 21st December for Christmas and will re-open bright and early, Wednesday 4th January. We look forward to welcoming you back through our café doors, supporting new aspirations and running programmes to build skills in the New Year.
We know that this time of year can be hard for young people, and that many doors that are usually open will be closed for the festive season. With this in mind, we have put together a list of organisations that can support you over our closure period. We encourage you to click on the hyperlinks for more info.
Our lovely partner, LFC foundation are offering a host of support during Operation Christmas. As well as donations of food and toys to children, they are running a series of Christmas lunches at Anfield in the Christmas week.
Up next, another gem in Anfield, Liverpool Lighthouse is offering a free community fun day, full of Christmas films and cheer.
The other side of the city, Catherine Braidy Cake Parlour believe that “no-one should be alone at Christmas”. They are opening for those who feel a little lonely on Christmas morning, serving free hot drinks and pastries alongside festive tunes.
The Universal Credit Helpline will be open for any benefit support whilst jobcentres are closed. The number you will need 0800 328 5644.
Vauxhall Community Centre is kindly offering a Community Christmas dinner on Christmas day – great food, lovely people and a kid’s area. Be quick – bookings close on 21st December.
Another lovely partner based on Lodge Lane – FirstPersonProject are continuing their Community Mental Health support over the festive season. A drop-in and telephone service will run between 26th-30th Dec, 11am-3pm because put simply, they believe no-one should feel alone over Christmas.
Sometimes, we know young people just want a safe, warm space to sit, use the WiFi and relax. Our lovely friends at Brink Liverpool re-open their café space on December 27th. Warm drinks, music, and lovely city centre safe space.
We wish you all the very best for the festive season – stay well and we will see you in the New Year for lots of support.
All our best wishes,
Team Thrive x
